MERISOL is a joint venture forged in 1997 between two longtime partners in cresylic acid production: Merichem Company and Sasol Ltd. Merichem is the world foremost technical innovator in the production of high-quality cresylic acids and pure isomers from naturally occurring sources. Sasol is a world leader in the production of synthetic fuels and chemicals from coal and the largest producer of cresylic acid feedstocks. These two parties bring together complementary strengths and, in each case, a history of 50 years of successful operation.
